Welcome to Hexxit, the Minecraft mod that takes the open world and construction of Minecraft and fuses it with the explorative nature of Dungeons and Dragons. In this introductory episode, Mathew builds a base camp while walking through the basics of Hexxit and the mods contained in the package (like Treecapitation and Pirate ships!).
Andrew takes over hosting responsibilities this week as we settle down in his amazing home theatre. The PS4 was released on 11/15 so we mainly focus on that while playing Need for Speed: Rivals on his 108″ screen. Not bad!
Another game vs bots pits Mathew with other random scrubs in a game that has everyone learning how to play and what their champions’ limitations are. In this game, two raging players disconnect before the match finishes but we’re still able to pull off the win. Watch and find out how well we did!
This full game (nearly an hour long) was an amazing match that pitted GamesDay team member Mathew as part of the Radiant team against a posse of Dire bots. With a final score of 30 to 14 in favour of the Dire, hopes were dashed and one player disconnected out of frustration. Rather than giving up, the rest of the team (mostly) pushed on; you’ve gotta watch this clip to see how the actual match turns out.
In this game, I gete in a practice match of League of Legends as Jax, a champion I rarely play and posted a pretty decent result. Ping was 329 in this case, which is definitely an improvement over the last matches.
I have an awful habit of diving enemies without thinking about how bad my ping is. In this game, with GamesDay team member Warren playing Hecarim in the bottom lane, and with a ping of 538, I went a not-bad 17/11/11 in a game vs a well-fed Shaco and Teemo. Enjoy the show!
Ian’s still deep into the PS+ freebies and this week he digs into Hotline Miami. Corey’s been working away at more GTAV and giving Tiny Tower another shot, this time with Tiny Death Star. Andrew has been gearing up to play NBA2K14 on the PS4 by playing NBA2K14 on the PS3. He’s also been enjoying Batman Arkham Origins on PC with his son. Warren’s been into the FPSs with Call of Duty Ghosts and Battlefield 4. Beyond that we discuss the recent insane Future Shop / Best Buy trade in deal as well as the impending PS4 launch.
In this level, Wolverine, Hulk, and Iron Man take on some pretty awful mutants and monsters inside and outside of The Raft, the location of the worsest of the worst super villains! Also, there is preview of sorts of the open-world nature that the game eventually blooms into.
This new video released by Sony shows the contents of the PS4 box, making all of those planned YouTube unboxing video null and void. With a cool Tron vibe going on, the video shows all of the cables and the content layout of things inside the box. Gotta say tho – those leather gloves up the creepy factor by 2.
In this clip, Mathew sits down and plays an apparently silent game of DOTA2 against some bots. Coming to DOTA2 from League of Legends, there is still a ton to learn about how the game works – most notably how the couriers work.
