This was a huge gaming week for our stomping ground! This week Matt, Mathew, Corey, and Andrew announced Video Games Live (coming March 24 to London, Ontario) and the demo of Darkness 2 by London’s own Digital Extremes on XBox Live. Since five of us are going to PAX, we also asked the community what portable games and gaming devices we should take with us – and we rambled about the new Kid Icarus stand as well. Feedback? Was excited to hear what you guys thought of the Darkness 2 demo, thanks again for talking about it.
The Demo you guys played IS actually part of the full game, but the sections are cut into pieces (the flash back sections) so that when you play the retail version, you’ll see those parts from the demo, just not in that exact order.
Also (don’t know if you guys played around with the demo after you filmed the show) but we do have more execution animations for you to play around with. You can actually control where you grab the bad guys (either head, torso or legs) and each section has their own animation. Each face button (as you level through the talent tree) will unlock more brutal executions that actually creates some cool combat dynamics
