“Special Forces” is the name of the multiplayer mode in the upcoming, and final installment of the Mass Effect 3 series. The game mode allows players to choose between different races and take on enemies together while either protecting others or performing tasks like hacking computers and healing allies. While it looks like standard 3rd person multiplayer action, the fact that its set in the Mass Effect universe makes it pretty exciting. While the multiplayer quests don’t seem to have any effect on what happens in-game, sources say that the outcomes of your multiplayer skirmishes will alter the campaign ending.
The demo is coming to XBox and PS3 on February 14 and the game will be making planetfall on March 6 (9 in Europe).
