Brand New Series: Diablo 3 Hardcore Roulette EP1

Stay a while and listen! We’re proud to introduce our brand new web series: Diablo 3 Hardcore Roulette!

Join Mathew, Warren, and our friend Mike (who’ll eventually be in the show) as we battle Diablo’s black minions in Hardcore mode. If the threat of permanent death wasn’t enough, we’ve also decided to up the ante by creating 60 different game-limiting effects that we’ll randomly choose three of at the start of every 60min playthrough (each episode is about 30mins of game time condensed into 15mins).

The first spin

In our first two episodes we’re hindered with three overarching rules:

  1. Slappers Only: players can’t equip any weapons.
  2. If It’s Yellow, Let It Mellow: players can’t equip any yellow/rare items.
  3. Are You Experienced? Players cannot equip any runes to any of their skills.

    One of THE best ideas for making hardcore even MORE fun than it already is that I’ve ever seen. Please, please, PLEASE (with sugar on top AND a cherry!) release the full list of mad roulette possibilites. Or, as you said in one of your Youtube comments: make a webapp. Do it! TAKE MY MONEYZ!!! *starts throwing money at the screen frantically* ^^

    btw: going to start a new character right now, going with your original roll for ep 1 & 2. Why not give myself a hard start with “If it’s yellow, let it mellow”, “Slappers only” and “Are you experienced”? :D
    Friends reaction to proposal: “Fuck no! We won’t even reach ol’ bony Longshanks with that setup!” “YOU WILL NEVER DEFEAT ME!” – this time he might be right. ^^
