(Review) Gears of War 3

It’s a rare experience when you reach the end of a blockbuster, million-dollar videogame and when the credits roll, you actually believe the story is finished. Whether you believe Microsoft will actually abandon the franchise is beside the point – Gears of War 3’s single purpose is to bring closure to a world that’s been blown wide open in the previous games.
(Review) NHL 2012

A lot of people tend to think that each release of a new EA Sports title is mainly a roster upgrade with a few minor enhancements. While that has been fairly accurate on a number of occasions, this is not true of this years NHL 12 offering. Since EA Canada has fully taken over development of the NHL franchise, they’ve made it better each year, in both big and small ways. According to the developers, there were over 300 changes made for this year.
Bring a legion back to prominence in Dungeon Siege 3

Thirty years before the events of Dungeon Siege 3, the 10th Legion, the protectors of the Kingdom of Ehb, and their leader Hugh Montbarron fell under direct attack from the army of Jeyne Kassynder. With support from the Azunite church, Jeyne blamed the legion for the death of the monarch of Ehb and promised to rid the world of the legion for good.
(Review) Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Deus Ex: Human Revolution takes place all over the world in the year 2027. A new battle is raging, between humans, augmented to improve their lives (or combat skills), and those who think that this type of change is an abomination. You assume the role of Adam Jensen, the head of security with Serif Industries, a huge corporation that makes their bread and butter from augmentation. Left for dead after a scuffle at a Serif Industries lab, Jensen wakes up, his body completely rebuilt with augmentations.
Review: Uniwar

Uniwar is a mobile, turn-based strategy game that allows up to four friends (or bitter, intergalactic enemies) to play a sort of Risk mashed up with Starcraft. If that’s not enough to get you salvating from your mandibles, read on.

3D Dot Game Heroes Review

There is a lot of controversy surrounding 3D Dot Game Heroes and whether it is a blatant rip-off, or a loving homage to The Legend of Zelda. While there are many similarities between the two games (right down to the last fairy fountain), 3D Dot Game Heroes brings a few of its own features to [...]
REVIEW: Sword & Sworcery EP

This game is thick craft.
Coming home from a night out, I quickly remembered that Superbrothers Sword & Sworcery EP was available and downloaded it right away. I’d been waiting for it for a few months at that point and nothing was going to keep me from partaking in its pixelly goodness. It was $4.99 and [...]
