It was debuted on G4TV with a three-minute video detailing some of the key features. First, the game (primarily single player as indicated in the video) features the familiar note highway, [...]

Notch reveals his new game: Mars Effect

Notch reveals his new game: Mars Effect

Yep, today Notch (the creator of a little game called Minecraft) revealed the name of his upcoming Firefly-inspired game, Mars Effect. Yeah, Mars Effect. Nothing says, “get more press” by co-opting another game’s title, tweaking it slightly, and making it go.

(Video) Transformers: Fall of Cybertron trailer

Me Grimlock LOVE new Transformers: Fall of Cybertron trailer! There are quite a few things that are exciting me about the latest game: the freaking Dinobots (!), the Combaticons coming together to form Bruticus and the inclusion of Metroplex and Trypticon. The new game looks like it builds on the last one (like Godfather 3 or any Robocop movies beyond the first, the version based on the movies don’t exist to me), building on amazing environments and lots of smashy-smashy action.

Incredible Samus cosplay

Incredible Samus cosplay

I’m a huge Metroid fan. So much so that my Hello My Game Is badge either says Metroid: Zero Mission or Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Tonight while browsing Tumblr, I came upon some of the greatest cosplay I’ve ever seen. Not only does the suit look incredibly lifelike, but the detail and the functionality in the suit are blowing me away.

Borderlands – Mordecai concept art

Borderlands – Mordecai concept art

While spending some time spelunking around the Internet today, and having always been a sucker for “how’d they do that”, I found some concept art today for Mordecai, my favourite character in the first Borderlands game. I love seeing this type of artwork; how they explore details like the boots, the webgear, handles, wraps, and more.

Borderlands – Lilith lookalike contest

Borderlands – Lilith lookalike contest

The Internet is such a huge place that it’s easy to miss awesome things like this Gearbox Lilith lookalike contest that was featured on X-Play back in January. Turns out that Yasemin Arslan was the winner and the video shows her transformation, as well as introduces Brittani Johnson, the guardian angel from the original Borderlands game.

Final Fantasy XIII-2: The Review

Final Fantasy XIII-2: The Review

With much anticipation I left work on time, a rarity for me, and rushed to my local games store to pick up my pre-ordered copy Final Fantasy XIII-2, the next installment of the once fabled franchise. In recent years, the Final Fantasy franchise seems to have lost a lot of the magic that made it [...]

(Video) Lego Batman 2 trailer, images

As we reported a while ago, Lego Batman 2 is in the works and it features more heroes in the DC Universe. The first official trailer shows Superman using his cold breath and heat vision on foes. Seeing the man of steel work over baddies is what I’m most excited about; the diversity of heroes in the franchise.

(Review) Dragon Age: Redemption

(Review) Dragon Age: Redemption

This is an interesting review. We got a copy of Dragon Age: Redemption, a DVD archive of the entire series of the Felicia Day-written web series that was created in partnership with BioWare and Microsoft. What’s interesting about it is that it’s not a game per se, but it’s a series that a fan has taken upon herself to write and star in. I find the very idea of that to be exciting. We live in an era when someone can take it upon themselves to turn a passing love of a game into something that’s much larger.

(Video) Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 13 – Duel of the Masters

(Video) Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 13 – Duel of the Masters

You know me – I’m not a golf guy at all. But I am very much a kung fu movie guy. In this unique take on the golf game genre, Tiger “Crimson Cat” Woods and Shaquille “Swinging Giant” O’Neal square off in what might be the most interesting golf match I’ve ever seen. The trailer, for Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 on Kinect, is golf meets kung fu meets awesome. The game comes out March 27.
