Will the Diablo 3 clickathon begin on February 1? According to our ancient demonic ouija board, signs point to yes. Best Buy (who is breaking the news before Blizzard officially is) has Diablo 3 scheduled to hit their physical and digital shelves on February 1, 2012.

Call the translation squad – Capcom has released two video clips showing another 11 minutes of Asura’s Wrath (coming in February), in all of its Street Fighter 4-ish visuals and 3rd person brawler style. After wading through a bit of untranslated cutscenes, I still think it looks pretty awesome.
Lego Batman 2 outed
Today, Warner Bros sent out a shiny new press release informing us of a brand new Lego Batman game that’ll be come to every platform in existence this summer. Lego Batman 2 includes Batman, Robin, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern in the DC universe as they fight against Joker, Lex Luthor, and more evil jerks.

Today, Mojang (via Minecraft creator, Notch) confirmed that they’ve acquired Wollay, the creator of Cube World, a Minecraft-like PC game with a heavy focus on role playing elements for an undisclosed sum/salary. I get the feeling after watching the Cube World video (inside) is that the game, even in its infancy, is where Minecraft has been headed lately with the inclusion of randomly generated buildings and castles as well as the experience point and levelling system.

Mojang releases Cobalt before Xmas!
Cobalt is a platforming shoot-em-up game from Oxeye and published by Mojang (the guys who brought us Minecraft). At Minecon, Oxeye said they were working hard to get Cobalt released in time for Xmas and they’ve done it – an alpha release (for Windows only) at least.
Lego Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit on the way – games not too far behind?
I am a huge fan of Traveller’s Tales’ Lego games including Lego Pirates of the Caribbean and the Lego Star Wars series. Yesterday, Warner Bros announced that they’d entered into a partnership with Lego to make build kits of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Will that turn into eventual videogame tie-ins?
