So, I’ve persuaded the GamesDay crew to try to play Paizo’s Pathfinder game. After the great success we had with HeroQuest (you can listen to that adventure here), the was really no convincing – everyone eagerly hopped on board.
Because six of the eight players are brand new to any kind of tabletop RP games and [...]
22 years and one pound of six-sided dice later, Mathew returns to the sixth world. Does Shadowrun stand up as a good tabletop RPG? Mathew reviews this tabletop classic and lets you know.
Borderlands 2 is a game I’ve been waiting to get my hands on for three years. Ever since I played the first game, I fell in love with the world and its tongue-in-cheek jokes and references, its Diablo-like loot mechanic, and its strong stable of anti heroes. Fast forward to PAX East in Boston this [...]
Dubstep detractors, rejoice! This latest trailer from 2k/Gearbox has landed and it’s much more Simba than Skrillex. The trailer shows off many different facets hinted at in past trailers including driving, powers (Zer0’s teleport/hologram, for example), and breathes a bit of life into the NPC characters that inhabit Pandora.
Those were dark times; when great beasts, goat-men, and man-eating trees prowled the ichor-ridden landscape, feasting on the fear and entrails of those foolish enough not to cower in fear of the demon horde. In recent years, the Final Fantasy franchise seems to have lost a lot of the magic that made it [...]
I loved the original Final Fantasy Tactics game. I had every character unlocked (including Cloud Strife) and had explored every battlefield on Ivalice. Square Enix has just released Final Fantasy Tactics on iPad and I’m debating on whether or not to pick it up. What do you think? Should I go for it?
Oh man – 2k just dropped a new trailer for Gearbox’s Borderlands 2, that’s packed with 96.5% more wub wub (actual quote). In addition to dubstep and cell-shaded goodness, the trailer also introduces the four new characters: Salvador, Maya, Axton, and Zero. Gear up, vault-hunters and catch a ride on this rocket into the sun.
